Critics Consensus

While entertaining and fitfully provocative, Disclosure ultimately trades narrative depth for glossy cynicism and superficial treatment of its serious themes.

Its preoccupation with snazzy computer-generated special effects has left key plot points so unclear at least one baffled viewer had to retreat to the book to find out why some things happened and others did not. Go to Full Review

The presence of Douglas, who has made a career of being pursued by beautiful, dangerous women, turns this sexual-harassment thriller into instant camp. Go to Full Review

Ultimately Disclosure is too contrived to be incendiary and not intellectually demanding enough to spark formidable discussion. Go to Full Review

It's glossy and hokey, but it is also good storytelling. More importantly, within its aims, it's a lot of fun. Go to Full Review

Ron R Feb 27, 2019 A vapid time capsule that shows how sexual harassment was understood in the 90s.
Albus S Dec 6, 2018 Disclosure was released in 1994 when both Douglas and Moore were huge stars. Douglas plays a family man working for a virtual reality firm which hire young attractive Moore- who had a past with Douglas. She seduces him, and they end up having some rough sex, later she ends up taking him to the cleaners. He hires a clever attorney and somehow manages to escape with his job and reputation. Disclosure is a mid-90s decent enough film featuring some nice Seattle scenery and some rather outdated VR technology. Regardless, this is a great film- the likes of which are not made anymore. Luke S Dec 2, 2018 The tech's dated but the message is timeless.
Theodore P Nov 18, 2018 Seedy drama that does not have anywhere near enough good in it to overcome the unsavoury content.

Luke R Aug 31, 2018 Disclosure came at just about the right time. Computers and the use of technology such as virtual reality was at its height in the early 90s, as were work place harassment and issues related to that. Certainly in Hollywood it seemed that is all they made and Michael Douglas seemed to have a propensity to choose such scripts where he is falsely accused and framed. Demi Moore is ravishing here and the pacing is really good. The setting used is good- scenic Pacific Northwest as opposed to Los Angeles and New York City. You should watch this film if you haven't already. See more
