Amid the reels of tripe churned out by Bollywood every week, Dil Se... is a noble attempt. But coming from Mani, that's simply not good enough.

Though it falls short of matching Bombay's grip and emotional immediacy, Dil Se.. is visually stunning, a high-impact film which stretches the limits of commercial Hindi cinema.

I'm usually a fan of Shah Rukh Khan & this movie had a good premise & the potential to be really good BUT........ the movie we got was absolutely absurd & ridiculous. SRK's character was annoying & he had no chemistry with Manisha Koirala, the movie was riddled with plot holes and absurdities, characters just popped into the movie halfway through with no explanation & the movie just kept finding a way to get more absurd with every scene. The only reason I'm giving this movie 1.5 stars rather than 0.5 is because A. R. Rahman performed his magic with an incredible soundtrack.

Long, boring. It' has great production value but the story and characters are absurd. I love musicals and watched this in a film class, but could hardly sit through it. The guy is a creepy stalker, and there was no chemistry with the two leads. If you want to watch 3 hours of random awkward stuff happening for no reason to annoying people, look no further.
