Die Another Day

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Its action may be bit too over-the-top for some, but Die Another Day is lavishly crafted and succeeds in evoking classic Bond themes from the franchise's earlier installments.

The film is a frantic roller-coaster ride from which you emerge exhausted, with a massive blur in the head. Go to Full Review

The over-reliance on epic CGI effects results in a few chinks in the spectacle (the tidal wave looks like a video game effect), but the thrill-topping succession of death-defying disasters and unbelievable battles... just don’t stop coming. Go to Full Review

Producing this milestone film is an unenviable task of immense responsibility. Unfortunately, the result is a clumsy homage –an attempt to concoct a grand confection with ingredients of varied quality and a baker that wasn’t up to the task. Go to Full Review

It really doesn't matter how Lee Tamahori directed the film or what Neal Purvis and Robert Wade did with their script  because Die Another Day was screwed from the moment that The Bourne Identity opened in theaters. Go to Full Review

Finn S Apr 20, 2019 Definitely a not the best of Brosnan's turn as Bond, and Halle Berry is far from at her best.
Draco G Apr 6, 2019 Over the top in every sense of the word, Die Another Day embraces it's style and boasts a solid, funny Bond thanks to Pierce Brosnan and a memorable Bond girl, Halle Berry's JINX. See more
Harry G Mar 29, 2019 It wasn't that bad, but it could have been better. I like the gadgets as much as the next guy, but...The film was way too dependent on them. (Invisible car? Really?) Does have a twist in the plot, though. See more
Rey R Mar 24, 2019 Love pierce the most out of all the bonds. Soooo handsome sexy and yet bad ass
Leia P Feb 5, 2019 Dont get me wrong James Bond by Pierce Brosnan is my childhood bond therefore true bond. But the opening song, script and cgi "masterpiece" would allow me to give more then 2 star to this movie See more
Theodore R Dec 27, 2018 One of the worst outings for Bond Die Another Day is a travesty. This is a train wreck of an action film - a stupefying attempt by the filmmakers to force-feed James Bond into the mindless XXX mold and throw 40 years of cinematic history down the toilet in favor of bright flashes and loud bangs. What's missing from this movie? Any real sense that we're watching 007 rather than a generic spy in a tuxedo. Pierce Brosnan seems to be going through the motions and collecting his bond check whilst Halle Berry is here only for the eye candy. Although some action scenes are nice(and a swordfight sequence is pretty cool to be honest) the plot is flimsy and the pacing is just off. This is one of the terrible Bond films. See more
