Devil's Due

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Derivative and mostly uninspired, Devil's Due adds little to either the found-footage or horror genres that it's content to mimic.

Tiresomely and implausibly shot entirely as if found footage, this female-written horror is Rosemary's Baby for the Paranormal Activity generation. Go to Full Review

[T]he small achievement of Devil's Due is how much it both exploits the video-cam approach and overcomes some of its limitations. Go to Full Review

It's certainly not the worst of the found-footage subgenre, but it's a far cry from its Sixties- and Seventies-era cinematic inspirations. Go to Full Review

Devil’s Due can be seen as a fun, if not flawed first exposure to the abilities of Radio Silence. And, hopefully, somewhere down the line they can revisit the found-footage format. Go to Full Review

Given that this premise doesn't necessarily lend itself to the found-footage genre, the filmmakers make the best out of the format to deliver something largely unexpected. Go to Full Review

The derivative shock-schlock wagon continues to roll on with the dull and unimaginative frightfest Devil's Due, a monotonous hybrid of Rosemary's Baby and Paranormal Activity slammed together in ugly unison. Go to Full Review

Anakin W Sep 7, 2018 One of the scariest, more evil movies I have seen, I cannot believe the low rating on rotten tomatoes. Crazy. The acting is off the charts good and believable... See more
Hagrid L Aug 12, 2017 It's not scary. Alright movie to watch but not scary.
Rey G Jun 20, 2017 Low end, common and predictable, Devil's Due is not anything special in the world of many "found footage" style horror films.
Anakin S Jan 27, 2014 First of all, Ima big fan of the found footage supernatural horror genre, but this is absolutely no innovation of any attempt to try something new, it is so painfully boring, the concept idea was very promising which is basically a found footage rendition of The Omen and 'Rosemarys Baby', the best moments of this film were those scenes showing Samantha's repulsive eating habits, and that's about it, overall , this film is terrible, I'm a fan of the genre but please god stop throwing hundreds of these films out and focus on making a few good ones. So for this being said I give " Devil's Due " an F. See more
