Patton knows what he wants from the material, stripping away anything that could remotely resemble artifice...

The end result, with its sluggish tension, is more of a tedious stroll in the woods than a visceral, blood-soaked nightmare.

What a joke. The "creative" team that somehow managed to get funding for this should have spent the money going to (or back to) film school. This is the least effective thriller I've ever seen. I'd expound, but this movie is not worth thinking about any longer. I'm posting this as a public service. Don't waste your time.

Slapped together forest stupidity. Formula flick with folks shaking off tragic loss of spouse by trekking into the forest for a renewal journey. Ridiculous bad guy that looks like a sloppy comic-con gamer stalks them through the forest and does bad things. Struggle and triumph therefore healing from the tragic loss. Please give me a refund...I want my hour and a half back.
