Harry P Feb 17, 2019 This is a truly awful horror movie. Katherine Heigl, one of my favs, couldn't even make it even mildly interesting. The purported descendant of Edgar Allan Poe is also a horror writer who travels the country telling everyone what a hack his predecessor was. He lands (by design) in small town California to hook up with a very distant cousin in an attempt to carry out vengeance for a slight that took place seven generations prior. The only horror aspect, besides the tenuous tie about horror writers, is the ghost of Poe that interacts with the main character. I'd say bloody awful, but it doesn't even qualify for that. See more
