What to Know

Critics Consensus

Delgo features a blend of plot elements from earlier (and superior) fantasy films, with weaker animation and dull characters.

Jane Horwitz Washington Post Dec 12, 2008
Although the film may be too violent for kids younger than 10 and too storybook for teens, it is a tale of mythic pretensions and can be quite stunning. Go to Full Review

The story is tedious, noisy and banal. It is also rather dark and convoluted for children, though it does have the familiar bombast of a video game. Go to Full Review

This flick is like a cheap thriller where the wisecracks always fall flat and the author couldn't be bothered to invent a new plot, so he just patches together some old ones. Go to Full Review

A dull retread. ... Not even the film's easily enchanted target audience -- that is, children -- are likely to stay under the spell for long. Go to Full Review

Theodore L Aug 18, 2018 Wow this one, this one is the movie I saw and thought "I want to go see more movies" I can't believe there wasn't a Delgo 2. This is almost as good as my favorite movie Antz, but it's close. I like when the older Delgo who looks like a modelling clay figure that a cat stepped on said "time to save 'Delgo' " and then hard music started playing. I promptly vomited after I saw that scene in theatres See more
May 27, 2018 I thought the movie was great. I enjoyed watching it. I bought the blu ray. It was rated low because it lacked vulgar profane language and lewd sex scenes! See more
Hermione S Jul 10, 2017 There's more than one reason this is the lowest-grossing CGI film of all time. The characters are one-dimensional, the story is run-of-the-mill, and the animation style is just bizarre. See more
Albus L Jun 12, 2017 Delgo deserves to be a financial disaster because of how it's such a horrible, horrible movie!
