Derivative and uninspired, Death House may have its moments but it has far too little in between to justify the 95 minute running time. Go to Full Review

Smith doesn't work the material into a frenzy, potentially disappointing those expecting more of a free-for-all bloodbath, not just a series of pseudoscience monologues. Go to Full Review

Death House unfortunately doesn't deliver. Its many references and horror icons don't contribute much to a story that is far too caught up in itself to be any fun. Its graphic and lewd nature don't much help either. Go to Full Review

This strange, ambitious genre movie is notable for its huge cast of horror icons from the 1970s, '80s, and '90s, but it's more horrifying than scary and not always good, though certainly interesting. Go to Full Review

Harry S Mar 13, 2019 Waste of time with solid horror icons
Harry L Jan 26, 2019 Flashes of brilliance littered across a muddled narrative that ultimately feels fully unexplored. Grand ideas with the promise of a deeper universe that is left unfulfilled. See more

Theodore S Jan 3, 2019 This movie is kind of amazing in a way. In all my years of watching film, attending school for cinematography and working on multiple film sets in NYC, I've never seen a film make less sense than this one. You think I'm exaggerating, but I honestly challenge anyone who sees this to try and make heads or tails of the plot. When it's not making absolutely no sense it's completely contradicting itself over and over again. This director has never been good in any sense of the word, but this is one of only two of his films that is so bad it's funny. The characters are baffling, the cinematography is so dark that half the time you struggle to see what's going on, the set pieces of this supposedly high tech prison look like abandoned warehouses, and the editing is at time laugh out loud bad. I always try to go into films with an open mind even if I sort of know what I'm getting myself into, but this movie startled even me with how hilariously bad it is. If you like watching films with your friends and making fun of them, this is definitely one to add to the list. If you're looking for an even remotely satisfying horror movie experience though, look elsewhere. See more
Draco S Dec 7, 2018 While others may call this movie the âExpendables of Horrorâ?, I consider it a silly and dark (figuratively and literally) love letter to the fans. If you want an obviously low-budget crossover with some of your favorite Horror movie actors in a ridiculous premise, you got it! Just remind yourself that this is low-budget so donâ(TM)t go in this film expecting something around the lines of â~Crimson Peakâ(TM), in terms of scope or effects. This is a fun time for the Horror fans, no one else. See more
Poe S Dec 1, 2018 This movie was not good. I'd be more precise but I want to be nice. This is for gore freask, I think. I didn't appreciate it. Not scary at all. The acting was bad too, and the camera resolution was a bit better than using a low res. camcorder. See more
