Finn L May 9, 2018 Michael Gough stars as the cruel patriarch of an affluent British family. He's particularly cruel to his daughter (Sharon Gurney), so she conspires with her mother to murder him. Things don't go too well. This fairly slow, atmospheric thriller is very clearly indebted to "Diabolique", but unfortunately has a needlessly convoluted climax that really dulls it's impact. Gough is, as always, terrific and it's worth watching for his performance alone. Not to be confused with "Crucible of Terror" which was released in the same year. See more
