Rey S Apr 18, 2019 I'm a fan of this movie. It's a thriller with horror themes/elements. The acting is really good and all of the characters are very believable. It's not very scary and not that suspenseful until Act 3. But it's a good mystery that is predictable for the "big picture" but the details (which are the most fun to guess) are not predictable and hence there are surprises. The movie is a bit of a slow burn but Act 3 is really good. The only negative that stood out to me was the cinematography. If better choices had been made it could've been much darker and scarier. Overall I'd still recommend this as a dark thriller and a light horror. See more

Finn L Apr 4, 2018 This movie really frustrated me, because when a logic person might be under that situation, they would step back and call for help. It was very obvious several times by different characters that no sane person would go through. Specially trained Police Officers. Apart from that the story was good and well captivated, I was a bit lost with the whole ''area design'' maybe its a Japanese thing. See more

Hermione S Mar 18, 2018 There are plot issues, for sure, and it's immensely frustrating when in this day and age, people still insist on investigating dark and foreboding places on their own. But holy shit, the skill with which all this is done, the building of torturous tension... all of that is brilliant and masterful. The result is a film that is exactly what the title says - creepy. Creepy as fuck. It got under my skin and made me squirm and cringe and gasp at all the right places. Thanks to Kiyoshi Kurosawa, I'll never look at vacuum bags the same way again. See more

Hermione S Oct 11, 2017 The film does fulfil it's title by giving you the creepy vibe at the start, but once the mystery is revealed in the final act, it all goes downhill from there. Even though the movie is roughly 2 hours long, it still had some explaining to do, thus not a effective use of time. The movie is definitely not deserving of a 90%+ freshness rating on rotten tomatoes not even a 70%. You'll probably spend most of your time shaking your head at the actions of the characters.
