J. R. Jones Chicago Reader Mar 24, 2016
The movie is like Manhattan with mobile phones, and in fact the idea of constructing one's own reality fits right in with the Woody Allenesque tone. Go to Full Review

3.5/4
While it hits some of the usual sci-fi tropes, Creative Control's center of gravity isn't tech itself, but the relationships of those who use it. Go to Full Review

Even after establishing David as a panicky wreck addicted to his morning Xanax chewables and evening booze, the movie doesn't dramatize his ensuing breakdown so that it makes sense or generates much sympathy. Go to Full Review

Not one to disappoint on his film's namesake, Dickinson exerts towering creative control over a project that is both entirely creative and completely controlling of our concentration. Bravo. Go to Full Review

Equal parts satire and science fiction, but how Dickinson and his team present these images is what makes a movie about disengaging so engaging. Go to Full Review
Chris McCoy Memphis Flyer Jan 14, 2020
The darkly hilarious Creative Control has too many ideas and too many homages to stuff into 90 minutes, but Dickinson and his collaborators are clearly having a great time trying. Go to Full Review

George R Oct 19, 2018 I wanted to like this one but it went a little too far off the deep end in the end.
Hermione G Jul 30, 2017 Like a really long Black Mirror episode but dull.
Draco S Jul 20, 2017 Bellamente rodada en blanco y negro.
Theodore S Jun 5, 2017 This movie had a good idea in there somewhere, but ultimately it fails. I spent most of this movie being bored out of my mind. I am surprised that I actually made it all the way to the end. This is not worth your time. See more
Anakin P Feb 20, 2017 It had a lot of potential, but it's to far up it's own to use any of it. As it progress it seems more of a mediocre film school movie made by the "Starbucks worker" stereotype, than by someone with genuine passion and drive to make movies. It also features one of the worst and most pretentious homages to Kubrick I've ever seen. See more
Draco M Mar 11, 2016 Between a 6/10 and 7/10, Creative Control looks more interesting than it is. But it does have a very interesting look.
