Johnny (Vanilla Ice) is a rebellious rapper whose ice-cold heart thaws when he sets eyes on Kristin Minter (Kristin Minter). They couldn't be more different. She's a straight-A student whose biggest thrills come from horseback riding; he's a moody misfit who tears up the street with his yellow motorcycle. It won't be easy to win her heart -- especially with Kristin's athletic ex-boyfriend blocking the way. But, when her dad gets in trouble with gangsters, Johnny proves his worth.

Curiosity wears thin fast, and Cool as Ice ends up seeming tired as well as twisted. The man whom promoters call the rap-era Elvis has negative charisma.

It's one of those movies that seem fabricated for a shopping mall: decorative, pretty, vacuous.

It's all as passé and unoriginal as its star, whose brief blast of popularity at least proves Americans are wising up: After all, Pat Boone stuck around for years.

The plot of the Vanilla Ice movie, Cool As Ice is as simple and obvious as the rap star's wooden acting.

C-

Director David Kellogg tries hard to make a hackneyed script at least look good. One could plausibly chop the movie into pieces and produce several outstanding Vanilla Ice videos.

So bad it was funny.

I must be entirely honest in saying that literally minutes in this film I instantly knew that was nothing that could surprise me... However, did anyone else notice how towards the end, when Vanilla comfronts the "antagonist's" he drives his motorcycle through the wall to administer a karate kick from the motorcycle.. They are on the second floor of the house that is under construction.. How did he drive his motorcycle through the wall of the second floor of the construction site?! I mean I forgave a lot already V.I. (and I'm not talking about the movie..) Come on man. Not to mention that motorcycle easily weights? 500lbs. How the Fu (C)£ you just hop that fence?! That being said.. If you don't watch this film you are doing yourself, your family, your friends, your career and absolutely everything in between a huge disservice. Watch it! It's the greatest thing I have ever seen.. comparable to a first sexual experience or herion injected directly into the vein... Actually, both happing simultaneously. Ice is going to melt all over you! And you will stop the tape.. ( I believe it is only on vhs) rewind the mother Fucker, and watch it again... And no one would ever blame or judge you.. I firmly believe that this film can cure cancer, and AIDS.. End world hunger, and bring about world peace.. Even bring democracy to North Korea. Don't take my word for it though. Go across the street and sling a slong! Then, go online and watch this film.
