Richard Brody The New Yorker Apr 14, 2020
This rapturous wartime romance, starring Judy Garland and Robert Walker, is also a rowdy and tender paean to the liberating vitality of New York's public life and its chance encounters. Go to Full Review

Director Vincente Minnelli's talents are so many-sided and generous that he turns even the most over-contrived romanticism into something memorable. Go to Full Review

A musical in spirit, if not execution. Judy Garland doesn’t sing, but she might as well. Go to Full Review

Like all the best melodramas, it shows us how society is set up to keep our hopelessly ambiguous interior worlds in check. But all you have to do is look at Garland to feel that racing pulse beneath the skin...she knew that love is anxiety. Go to Full Review

Jan 27, 2019 The best romance movie ever made!
Kylo R Nov 26, 2018 The Clock is a decent film. It is about a soldier who accidentally meets a girl at Pennsylvania Station and spends his leave with her during a 48-hour leave in 1945. Judy Garland and Robert Walker give good performances. The screenplay is a little slow in places. Vincente Minnelli did an alright job directing this movie. I liked this motion picture because of the drama and romance. See more
Han G Mar 4, 2018 watch the the movie. Watch it again and again and again and then after you've watched about a dozen times, really listen to it. The Clock ticks slowly throughout the whole movie, giving attentive viewers the cue that there is something more to this story than what meets the eye. I promise you, anyone that writes this movie off as another cheesy 1940s romance wasn't meant to see this movie in the first place. Truly a masterpiece and way ahead of its time. See more
Poe W Aug 12, 2017 The Clock is a straightforward wartime drama with charming performances from Judy Garland and Robert Walker.
