The script has a few problems... but Graham is absolutely terrific, and most of the physical gags are great. Go to Full Review

This time around it goes straight for laughs, and does a pretty good job. Go to Full Review

A star-heavy supporting cast that includes Bianca Jagger and Robert Vaughn has fun with the zombie make-up, but it's only the odd gratuitous death that keeps you from nodding off completely. Go to Full Review

It's a dumb zombie comedy with a gaggle of third rate celebrity cameos. Go to Full Review

It’s not genuinely good or weird enough, nor a so-bad-it’s-fun b-movie for it to register any impact. Go to Full Review

While Bud the CHUD disappoints as a comedy, rest assured that it’s equally disappointing as a horror movie. Go to Full Review

Rey R Jan 21, 2019 I first saw this film on holiday when I was about nine years old, it was playing on a TV with the sound off. My mum asked what it was and I said I thought it was a vampire movie and that it was very silly. After recently seeing it again I realise that I had really missed the mark. I realise that they were going for horror, comedy with this but the horror element is almost completely missing. There is virtually no gore and the comedy itself is pretty lame at the best of times. Whenever a person get attacked by the zombies, It is behind an obstacle of some kind and is censored. There's the crunching of bone and a chomping of flesh and some screaming and then that's it. All the victims's rock up later on with white paint and crappy teeth in. Despite having their brains eaten out, having been shot, having been blown up with rocket launchers and shot with flamethrowers; no one has any injury's. They are just still covered in white paint and in some circumstances a bit of soot, because thats what explosions do. I get it that they probably had a tiny budget for this thing but how much does a bit of red cost. I was much easier to please when I was a kid, See more
Poe R Dec 26, 2009 Not that the first film was much of a classic, but this sequel is pretty awful. A C.H.U.D. from the first film escapes and infects others, making for a Night of the Living Dead type of scenario for a group of teens to survive. In the plus column, you do get Gerrit Graham in the lead as Bud the C.H.U.D. Also in the plus column is a decent supporting cast that includes a lot of past-their-prime movie starts, including Robert Vaughn, Bianca Jagger, Norman Fell, June Lockhart, Rich Hall, Priscilla Pointer, and Clive Revill. But in the minus column, the film attempt to be a comic horror film, which is something that rarely works ("Re-Animator" did it, "The "Frighteners" and "Dead Alive" did it, but not many others did it), and falls utterly flat. The comedy isn't funny. The horror isn't scary or suspenseful. What's left if just blah. Only watch this one for 1980s nostalgia value. See more
