For all of Rock's fealty to hard fact and the disenchantments of experience, "Tamborine" is most exciting, and most unlike anything he's done before, when he gropes toward transformation.

[Rock's] willingness to derail the laughs shows a newfound vulnerability-all before he brings the act safely back to a funny zone.

Chris Rock returns to us with things to say and share, with humor that serves as a nice respite as we ourselves march on and endure.

Rock now recognizes the importance of learning life lessons and accepting cold hard truths about himself... That's something some of his peers and those who look up to him in comedy would be wise to listen to and heed.

Rock, in every TV special he's ever released, manages to touch on a topic in a way, and with a fervor and intelligence, I end up remembering long afterward.

I wish I could give this zero stars. I love Chris Rock, usually, but this was just awful. I couldn't get through the whole special. It's beyond politically incorrectâ"it's offensive and not at all funny. The looks on some audience member faces say it all. Don't waste your time watching this.

Wow. This special blew me away. It was not only incredible honest, heartfelt, but also wickedly insightful, provactive and above all hilarious. It is one of the most intelligent and funniest specials on netflix.

I signed up to RT just so i could leave this 1 star. Cops should kill more white kids? Bullying is good? Cyber bulling is nothing compared to a balloon full of piss? WTF? Where was the funny? I lost respect for this site when i saw a 100% Critic Score.

We watched this last night but only got through 10 minutes. It was basically a racist rant against white people. If he was white and did this, his career would be over. It was horribly revolting. That guy is an angry dude, and not funny at all.

I used to be a huge fan of Chris rock, until I saw this special and now resent him for feeling like he played a charicature all those specials years ago he was admired for. Idk if he was pandering to white people or trying to sound more mature and refined, but it was terrible. On top of that Rottentomatos scoring it at 100% totally confirms that this site is completely biased and bought out by special interests.

He reached supernova status years ago and none of his close friends have the balls to tell him he's not funny. Everyone that gives this a good review is really doing a disservice to stand up.
