Ken Adam's sets are inventive, but the special effects are shoddy, the songs instantly forgettable, and the leisurely length an exquisite torture. Go to Full Review

A fast, dense, friendly children's musical, with something of the joys of singing together on a team bus on the way to a game. Go to Full Review

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang contains about the best two-hour children's movie you could hope for, with a marvelous magical auto and lots of adventure and a nutty old grandpa and a mean Baron and some funny dances and a couple of [scary] moments. Go to Full Review

Jan 27, 2019 The best musical movie ever made!
Kylo R Jan 13, 2019 Perhaps it was magnificent in its time but now nearly 50 years later Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is an excruciatingly long movie with annoying songs and terrible visual effects. See more
Han R Nov 6, 2018 This film was unwatchable.
Kylo W Nov 3, 2018 I've seen this movie dozens of times since my childhood. It is always been a favorite. It still holds true to this day. I'm sitting here watching it right now and felt compelled to add a review. Although it is a children's movie, it still brings me back as an adult. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang rates up there with movies' best supercars... The Batmobile, the Delorean from Back to the Future and KITT from Knight Rider. Dick Van Dyke is always fun to watch with his clumsy exuberance. And Sally Ann Howes is both likeable and beautiful and brings the character of Truly Scrumptious to life. I love the cameo by Desmond llewelyn, better known as Q from James Bond at the beginning of the movie. This movie written by Ian Fleming, the author of James Bond, produced by Albert Cubby Broccoli, the producer of James Bond movies, and having the gadgets and special car like the James Bond movies... It makes Dick Van Dyke's character of Caractacus Potts seem like a clumsy singing James Bond. And who can forget Benny Hill as the toy maker and of course the evil child catcher who gave me the creeps as a kid and it's still creepy to this day. All in all this movie has a little bit of everything. Highly recommended! See more
Theodore W Nov 1, 2018 In my mind this film is the absolute epithane of what a children's film should be. The music is great and so is everything else! See more
Oct 31, 2018 How could you not love this film ... great actors, interesting and funny script and musical numbers that will be stuck in your head for weeks (thankfully in a good way)! See more
