Jennifer Lynch, daughter of David, does the filmmaking equivalent of drunkenly totalling dad's prized Ferrari. Go to Full Review

Plenty nasty but singularly lacking in clever new twists on a weary genre. Go to Full Review

From misguided accusations of torture porn to a bizarre 'twist' ending, this film is *interesting*. Still, the performances from Vincent D'Onofrio and Eamon Farren are outstanding, and the premise has plenty of promise. Go to Full Review

Rey R Jan 20, 2019 An excellent movie. The tension is palpable and heavy. There are some scary scenes like when Rabbit stabs Angie and when he approaches the sleeping Bob. The acting is amazing, as you feel true hatred for D'onofrio and sympathy for Rabbit. The viokent scenes seem so real, and I guess that's why the film originally had an NC-17 rating before Lynch edited it to get an R rating. This movie isn't gory or torture porn, it's emotionally violent and taxing. See more
Poe S Dec 24, 2018 mehh... nice concept. it gets a gold star for spookiness by default because the idea is plausible: a guy with childhood trauma becomes a serial killer, then kidnaps a child who he plans to become his protege. the child is torn between following his new father figure's footsteps or being "chained" up in the house forever. the film just plods along and you have the wait til the very end before something unpredictable happens. Harry P Oct 25, 2018 I thought this was a memorable film. D'Onofrio is creepy.
Draco W Jan 3, 2018 It's worth the shot of watching. My husband and I are both really into this. Some parts slow. But it's very interesting. Keeps you watching. I recommend See more
Leia L Nov 17, 2017 The most disturbing film I've seen for some time, so kudos for that! Stays away from being too explicit in violence or sex, more relying on a build up on the terror of the events taking place. Not for the faint hearted! See more
Theodore S Jun 23, 2017 This film left me feeling somewhat confused and horrified. The direction, production, acting and story was good. I feel bad about enjoying the film because it is genuinely horrific. It's a very well made very disturbing film. I don't think I'll sleep comfortably tonight. See more
