Still, as generic middle-brow entertainment goes, Centre of my World functions adequately. You wish the characters well. You crave for neat endings. Go to Full Review

Erwa's emotional candour ensures his film will strike resonant chords with anybody who spent their formative years extricating themselves from strangulating family ties. Go to Full Review
Ed Potton The Times (UK) Sep 14, 2017

It's almost aggressively twee at times, and a subplot with Phil's distant twin sister is underdeveloped, but there's enough emotional nuance to elevate it above the status of escapist whimsy. Go to Full Review

A gorgeously sun-kissed ode to first love, the film sometimes sacrifices deeper characterization for titillating sex scenes between the model ready boys. It feels geared towards the LGBT film festival circuit. Go to Full Review

Kylo R Jan 2, 2019 Very interesting and sad story. (SPOILER) It can happen to everyone and we will lose our friends and our love.
Dec 18, 2018 The movie is really surprising, once we are led to discover all the secrets, all the ghosts and all the ends of each story in this story. A light language and light characters. And, using a quote of the Glass, we must not ask who, or what, is the center of our world, because or we could not like the answer or we would doubt it. The message I received from the movie is only meeting the answers through the way and never wishing them without a good walk. See more
Luke W Mar 25, 2018 3/25/2018 Why do this coming of age gay love stories have to be tragic all the time? This one is probably more relatable than the others we've seen because of its being family centric in times of crises. How it was our family we ultimately turned to during the most painful of situations. See more
See more
Leia W Nov 10, 2017 We are clearly in a golden age of queer cinema, and this beauty of a coming-of-age film is another great example. Just wish that single-guitar-strum music was absent from this otherwise well made German film. Great performances from the cast. Everyone was magnetic on screen. See more
Finn S Sep 8, 2017 This is a very good coming of age movie. All the characters are very charming, and relatively relatable. And since it's not an American film, it sidesteps the fairy tale ending somewhat. See more
