Critics Consensus

An effective if knowingly silly Stephen King anthology that combines comedy and terror.

King is popular for the same reason McDonald's is popular -- you always know what to expect. Go to Full Review

The list of films that genuinely capture the spirit of Stephen King - the darkness, humor, and cleverness that made his books and stories so irresistible - is surprisingly short. But 'Cat's Eye' deserves a place on that list. Go to Full Review

The three stories just don't connect and efforts to join them never work. However, an excellent roster of talent does try its best. Go to Full Review

Cat’s Eye is pure, bizarre camp with just the right amount of Stephen King’s signature terror. Go to Full Review

Poe L Dec 25, 2018 A perfect way of connecting short stories to a movie. :)
Luke G Nov 30, 2018 The movie is 3 short stories of a lucky cat who always saves the unfortunate from demise. Its good. But it can confuse you if you aren't paying attention when the 1st story switches to the 2nd story. I liked it See more
Rey G Oct 16, 2018 I have a very nostalgic feeling about this movie that reminds me of my childhood so I really love this movie.
Rey G Jul 25, 2018 Cat's Eye is strange. This movie would have played out better as a TV series. Trying to connect the stories with the cat and bizarre visions of Drew Barrymore didn't really work. It's not scary enough to frighten adults, but it deals with themes like quitting smoking and adultery, so it's not really for children. I guess teens might be the target audience, maybe? See more
Abraham G Feb 23, 2018 Very entertaining. A cat follows three different stories. Nicely done.
Theodore S Feb 15, 2018 Woods gives us the best story with a challenged smoker, but the clever contest dealt on the ledge was equally as interesting. Unfortunately the main storyline that ends the anthology is rather cheesy and less impressive, but overall it's a fun anthology. See more
