Apr 17, 2019 I definitely enjoyed Carter High from beginning to end. The movie successfully chronicles the rise and fall of the 1988 Carter Cowboys, a Dallas, Texas high school football team who shakes the city once a string of local robberies traces back to some of the team members. While it can be challenging to adapt real life stories, I can appreciate the authenticity and the fact that the screenwriter and director stayed true to the story, opposed to implementing unnecessary embellishments that would have detracted from the essence of the storyline. I hope teens and athletes take away the powerful message in this movie. Poor choices have consequences, and at the end of the day, one bad mistake or choice could cost you everything--including your life! See more

Rey S Sep 26, 2018 I really think that, given the budget, this story would have been a pretty good project. I still liked it. I didn't know about this story, but I think it is worth being told. I really wish that this would have been given more of a priority by the studio. Even with the cheap quality, I was still engaged the entire time. See more

Finn W Aug 22, 2018 Although the story has a powerful message, the characters are too dully written to intrigue anyone who wants more than a generic true story flick. See more

Abraham G Jun 21, 2018 I was introduced through to the Carter High story through ESPN 30 for 30. The story was heartbreaking and the film was able to show that in a short amount of time. Charles Dutton was amazing as usual, and the use of the actual footage was a great addition. Look forward to seeing more work from the writer/director! See more

George S May 2, 2018 Unfocused, and the acting is so poor, I had trouble finishing it. D+

Leia S Oct 3, 2017 Should be seen by every high school athlete. Wow! All about choices and consequences.
