Exactly what we were promised: ornate, visually beautiful, romantic and staged as the most lavish production in the history of the Hollywood musical. If that's what you like, you'll like it. Go to Full Review

So misguided that it threatens to become a spoof worthy of Monty Python or Mel Brooks. When Arthur hisses, "I demand a man's vengeance!" he sounds like Cloris Leachman bleating, "Death to King Louis!" in History of the World: Part I. Go to Full Review

This Camelot could be moved into Disneyland, intact. Go to Full Review

To take all three hours, one probably needs a fairly tireless addiction to knights, toy castles, rapt pauses and battlefield farewells. Go to Full Review

The film that essentially killed off Old Hollywood by virtue of being such a bad box-office flop. Go to Full Review

Rey S Mar 10, 2019 Blobbo enjoyed as a young blob watching in a theater.
Jan 27, 2019 The best movie song ever sung: the title song!
Ron P Dec 31, 2018 Overlong and too talky in the second half but not as bad as its reputation would have us expect; much has been made of the two leads not being able to sing, but by today's standards, both acquit themselves quite admirably (Franco Nero's singing voice was dubbed) and Harris, in particular, gives a fine performance; most of the Lerner & Loewe score is left intact and given a lush Oscar-winning orchestration by Alfred Newman. George S Feb 11, 2018 A Shakespearean tragedy with some ballads and humor at the start.
Theodore P Nov 9, 2017 I liked this way more than I expected actually, considering the majority of the music was just "okay" to me. (The best song, musically, is probably If Ever I Would Leave You imo, but theres a handful of songs that are fun). I was just mesmerized by Vanessa Redgrave in this. She is so beautiful in such a like, youthful and yet wise way. She's never like 'sexy' - even when she's wearing nothing but some bed sheets - she's always just like gorgeous. It just... it just makes you... *looks out of window* Richard Harris also charms, though funny enough he reminded me of Peter O'Toole in this role. He's so charming that you actually do have a knee-jerk "What- really??" reaction when Guinevere chooses the superior countenance of one Franco Nero. But gosh, all of them play it so damn pure and innocent and thoughtful that you can't help but feel for all them. The biggest downside to this movie is the amount of static singing. Theres entire songs where the character is just sitting down or doing some inane domestic activity and all you get is like slightly different angles of that person sitting there. They could have been more dynamic, throw in some dancing maybe? Doesn't need to be Gene Kelly levels but like, cmon. See more
Rey P Aug 17, 2017 Nobody does it like King Author, His Wife and throw in Lancelot and you have a three-way that topples a Camelot!!!
