Adam Jones, former chef at one of Paris' premier restaurants, wants to turn his life around. After destroying his career with drug use and a manic drive for perfection, he is given another chance to fulfil his dreams of gaining three Michelin Stars. Returning to London, he assembles a crew to create one of the finest restaurants ever and gain the recognition he has always wanted in the culinary world, but the journey is certainly not an easy one.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Burnt offers a few spoonfuls of compelling culinary drama, but they're lost in a watery goulash dominated by an unsavory main character and overdone clichés.

It's all too familiar, too rudimentary, and while the kitchen they're working in is top-of-the-line the meal they ultimately prepare isn't that much better than a Denny's breakfast left under the heat lamps a few minutes too many. Go to Full Review

Burnt is, to be clear, not a good movie. It is in fact a pretty terrible movie. Go to Full Review

Mostly, I thought Burnt was ridiculous. And yet I cannot tell a lie. Its familiar beats, comely cast, and lively kitchen montages entertained me. Go to Full Review

Due entirely to his talent and appeal, two hours of Bradley-being-Bradley works and the film will rightly entertain at an acceptable superficial level. Go to Full Review

Despite all of the beautiful cuisine and energetic kitchen chaos, “Burnt” is simply a half-baked redemption tale. Go to Full Review

Mar 13, 2019 I know a lot of people hated the movie but I think Bradly Cooper does a fairly decent job playing a character on his road to redemption and the movie isn't formulaic and predictable. I also find cooking movies to be comforting for some reason and the process and creativity that goes into it. See more
Anakin G Mar 9, 2019 I guess I like bad movies.
Mar 8, 2019 While it offered some insight into a addict trying to get back on track it was just okay.
Draco W Feb 5, 2019 Food, Food, Food. I will admit I never knew the chef world was so cutthroat, perhaps it's not really and this movie just made it seem that way, but I imagine it's pretty stressful. I think Bradley Cooper did a fantastic job as Adam Jones, he comes across as believable in terms of a recovering drug addict/alcoholic and his intensity during his being upset was quite believable. I liked him in this role, liked him enough to actually want to see more of this story, I really wouldn't' mind a storyline either post this movie or of his exploits in Lousiana. Overall, the movie was definitely entertaining and I would absolutely recommend/watch again. See more
Jan 5, 2019 It seems like someone decided that Ratatouille should be a parody, and then made a film of which Ratatouille could be a parody. Interpretations are good, but the characters are unrelatable and overblown. See more
Poe G Jan 5, 2019 The Magnificent Seven reimagined as a fallen chef recruiting six disciples to take on the world and gain a Michelin star. The lead is an annoying, shouty w**k*r who brooks no sympathy. If this is what it's really like working in Gordon Ramsay's kitchen then God help the catering industry. Gave up watching this film after 25 tedious minutes. To think I paid for this ï¿ 1/2 1/2 1/2 1/2' (C)... I want my money backï¿ 1/2 1/2 1/2 1/2~ï¿ 1/2 1/2 1/2 1/2 See more
