The artificiality is pronounced to a distracting degree -- sets don’t look like magical, off-kilter locations in Scotland but merely like sets. Go to Full Review

Chockablock with clean, crisp and thoughtful choreography, a nice balance of swoon and sorrow, and a solid mixture of light supernaturalism and weighty existentialism. Go to Full Review

…aside from the vague tartan gift-shop theme, some musical motifs and a bit of sword-dancing, there’s actually not much Scottish about Brigadoon at all...Minnelli’s film seems so completely and blandly romanticised as to have no local colour at all… Go to Full Review

Jan 27, 2019 The best musical fantasy romance movie ever made! With the best movie song ever sung: Almost Like Being in Love!
Hermione S Jan 25, 2019 Gives you the wrong impression of Scotland. Sheer Hollywood tripe.
Finn R Mar 19, 2018 Not a big song and dance movie fan but this was not bad.Quaint is how I would describe it.
Feb 7, 2018 Preciosa película. Solo quién conoce el amor puede apreciarla.
Leia S Nov 29, 2017 Wonderful classic movie set in Scotland. A super movie. Great acting, and clever idea.
Hagrid P May 2, 2017 MGM intended for this adaptation of the Lerner & Loewe Broadway hit to be THE musical of 1954, but SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS stole its thunder; still, with Vincente Minnelli's direction and Gene Kelly's choreography, the film is charming and lovely. Highlight: "The Heather on the Hill," expanded from the stage production to include a lengthy dance number for Kelly and Cyd Charisse. See more
