Bridegroom is an heartbreaking doc illustrating a fairy-tale that is never fully realized. A cautionary tale regarding the legalities and discrimination of same-sex relationships when one-half of the relationship faces dire circumstances. Excellent film!

Due to the unexpected death of one of them, the one who lives now relates the joy of having lived at his side and the pain and other consequences that his death has brought him. Beyond that the documentary tries nothing more than to get its audience to fall sentimental and hurt before what it observes. Intolerance, discrimination and overcoming are the issues that, through a poignant narrative are explained, but the documentary becomes slow, self indulgent and dripping on several times. 73/100
