Critics Consensus

Jeffrey Combs' Herbert West remains a wickedly devious presence, but Bride of Re-Animator can't revive the original's anarchically inventive spark, making it a fitfully entertaining but greatly diminished sequel.

The sequel is every bit as amusing as the original, though probably grislier.

The flick supplies many a darkly mirthful moment as it picks up steam on the way to a truly sicko finale. It operates simultaneously as a moral fable, medical satire, and over-the-top bad-taste orgy.

The second movie is at least 10 times more disgusting than the first, but manages to supply almost enough funny lines to assuage your nausea.

The story doesn’t have enough twists to shake its Frankenstein roots, but West is still a great character... Too bad the great Barbara Crampton isn’t back to help re-animate this sequel into the original’s blend of horror, black comedy, and eroticism.

Bride of Re-Animator is a living nightmare. As it's also a horror movie, that's a nice compliment.

Billy Damota is Crap. He should not be in anything or be allowed to even .participate with actors. He is a predator who preyed upon an acquaintance of mine. It's KARMA Billy .

Bride of Re-Animator is a little derivative of the first film, But it delivers on doubling the gore, the ridiculousness and the perversion. Screaming Mad George's effects are top notch and lead to a climax that becomes a fever-like barrage of body parts and reanimated corpses. It's fun and crazy gore-fest that fans of the first should not miss.
