David Rooney The Hollywood Reporter Sep 19, 2016
We watch Chloe Grace Moretz's epic meltdown from a bored distance, until the drama remembers its lost calling as a disease-of-the-week movie. At that point, we receive the abrupt news of a cure with an indifferent shrug. Go to Full Review
Wendy Ide Screen International Sep 19, 2016
Despite the fact that Susannah eventually manages to claw her way back from the brink of madness, this is a downbeat slog of a film which tells a not particularly involving story. Go to Full Review
Peter Debruge Variety Sep 18, 2016
It's the sort of role for which the Razzies were invented, and what little audience it finds will almost certainly be heckling as they watch Moretz implode. Go to Full Review

Harry P Apr 23, 2019 A film long needed to raise awareness for rare conditions. Chloe Grace Moretz gives an amazing performance in Brain of Fire.
Hagrid M Apr 21, 2019 I'm so glad I didn't look at the ratings before watching this movie. What the heck is wrong with some of these critics? As someone who suffers from epilepsy and watching this movie it was incredible. She suffered much more than what I have experienced but to see how vivid and accurate the seizures and lead up to them was portrayed was unfathomable. I'm so taken. And Chloe did a phenomenal portrayal. I can't talk this movie up enough. ï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)ï¿ 1/2 1/2 See more
