A melancholy fable that expands on Versos' short to create a film that's equal parts coming of age and coming out. Bonus points for emphasizing the importance of Indigenous characters and storytelling. Go to Full Review

Feb 17, 2019 If I could give this movie 0 stars, I would. Paired with a poorly written screenplay was an equally disappointing use of music. It's like the productuon team threw in the only "halloween" music they've ever heard to play over shots that would make my penis invert into a vagina if I didn't already have one. Glitter and dreamcatchers....really? It's like you were flexing on how small your budget is and that shit only works in Round The Twist. See more

Oct 22, 2018 A movie with surprising depth, It fools you into thinking your watching a horror movie but then you find out your watching a movie about the nature of humanity See more
Leia L Oct 7, 2018 Its a coming of age movie better suited for teens (just like I prefer). The acting is good and the story is ok, truly saved by a twist ending. The film is nearly 2 hours long and you notice that, hence shortening it by 20min would have made it better. Its a good movie but not one that deserves a second viewing. See more
Sep 18, 2018 A spooky coming of age story about redemption that is surprisingly deep and meaningful with beautiful cinematics
Theodore W Sep 7, 2018 I can't remember the last time I had a movie impact me the way this one did. I really thought to myself "oh boy here's another lost boy hommage" in a way it is but with such a intriguing execution. Everything about this film is captivating. The way it's filmed, color, music, nostalgia, pure emotion. Very surprising. Hats off to writer/director Nicholas Verso. See more
