As a rather strenuous attempt at a feel-good movie, Bottle Shock falls a long way short of the mark. Go to Full Review

It's not in the same league as Sideways but it has a fragrant sense of the beauty of wine and winemaking, not just the drinking. Go to Full Review

Rickman is priceless as the self-parodying wine snob, stealing every scene he is in by continually pulling the rug from under himself. Go to Full Review

[A] film that acknowledges the passion, dedication and commitment of those owner/growers who keep our wine cellars, cupboards and fridges stocked and, to that end, it's worth a tipple. Go to Full Review

George W Apr 27, 2019 great true story, very poorly created into a movie story. would be better off as a documentary than the overly dramatic acting and additional (fictional) story lines See more
Kylo G Apr 14, 2019 Rickman/Farina were great but aside from a couple of scenes the movie is slow and plodding. I wish it featured more of Rickman as his character was fascinating, and less of the love interest between the younger cast. If this movie was a wine, I don't think it is corked, but no awards either. See more
Anakin R Mar 12, 2019 This is an excellent film too many have never heard of. It has drama, humour and heart. It's a great depiction of the human spirit. The acting and dialogue are just about perfect and it's beautifully-filmed. See more
Hagrid W Jan 18, 2019 This film is a great, real story, better than "Sideways'" with a terrific cast and great sound track. Do not be deterred by the rotten tomato rating. Give this a shot and you will thank me. See more
