Makes a good argument as a slasher film that's worth spending your time on... Go to Full Review

A whole lot gorier than the first one. I love how the beloved PG-13 gets tossed in the dumpster once the letters "DTV" are brought up. Go to Full Review

Han G Jul 13, 2018 If the boogeyman is a mythical creature then director Jeff Betancourt obviously hasn't done his reasearch because the mythical side is replaced with a masked, knife wielding killer OH HOW ORIGINAL, NOT!! this film basically rip's off any slasher film you care to name or view in particular A Nightmare On Elm Street 3 gory in places but nothing new or shocking. Anakin G Jan 1, 2018 The first Boogeyman film was pretty awful, but it must have made enough money to warrant a direct-to-video sequel. Although this horror film is not very good, it is better than the original, but not by much. The story here has a young woman checking herself into a mental institution to deal with her fear of the Boogeyman. A major change from the first film is that the Boogeyman is much more flesh and blood and much less supernatural, which is an odd choice for a supernatural thriller. One smart choice by the filmmakers was to forego the PG13 rating and go for a hard R rating, filling their film with loads of gory practical special effects instead of the much overused computer generate gory special effects (i.e. "Ghost Ship" or "The House on Haunted Hill"). This sequel also has a better cast than the first film, with Renée O'Connor and Tobin Bell Tobin as doctors at the institution. Overall, the story isn't that good and it's not all that scary, but for a low budget horror film, it does boast some excellent gory (PRACTICAL) special effects, which was enough to hold my interest. Harry W Nov 26, 2017 the film is a good slasher, the performances are good, a somewhat good plot and an almost predictable ending, the bad thing is that it was included in the series Boogeyman, the first film dealing with a supernatural being and the second is about a psychopath, It's not a great movie, but it's decent enough. George L Aug 11, 2017 change the damn poster first. without spoiling much, you'd be terribly disappointed with the path it's taken. first was somewhat better than this. that's all i could say. See more
Albus R Mar 5, 2017 By the numbers and predictable but much better than the original and great death scenes!
