Diego and Sage have fallen into a romantic rut despite the fact that Diego has recently quit his job to focus on writing an acclaimed erotic romance novel. Sole breadwinner Sage finds herself increasingly frustrated in the bedroom and resentful of her role as the supportive partner. In an effort to reconnect, they rent a scenic lakeside property for the weekend on the aptly named Bone Lake. Their plans for an intimate weekend are quickly derailed when another couple, Will and Cin, unexpectedly arrive. Realizing the property has been mistakenly double-booked, the two couples tepidly agree to share the space and make the most of their weekend together. What starts promisingly as friendship soon transforms into a twisted series of sex and lies and their idyllic weekend quickly spirals downward in a torrent of orgiastic violence.

Bone Lake then spends much of its run-time as a twisty, character-led psychological thriller, before going all-out grindhouse for a blood-soaked, over-the-top final reel and a groan-inducing punchline. T Go to Full Review

Bone Lake is no game-changer, but its rock solid filmmaking and fleeting flirtations with greatness has us looking forward to Morgan’s next film. Go to Full Review
