FBI profiler Terry McCaleb was hot on the trail of "The Code Killer" when a heart attack put him out of commission. A heart transplant later, Terry spends his time in the harbor on his houseboat -- that is, until he starts to investigate the facts surrounding his transplant. Critics Consensus

Blood Work is a routine, but competently made thriller marred by lethargic pacing.

Kylo G Dec 11, 2018 Fans of Michael Connelly's book will applause to this adaptation of his book of the same title. It does capture the spirit of the book and the McCaleb's character his hellish journey. I was truly touched by the emotions McCaleb faces Â- saving his own life and the Gloria Rivers' heart, or catching the twisted villain who's on a murderous rampage. However, the twists are there, but the clues are so obvious and come too soon. I have no doubt it's easy for all to get the picture quickly and solve the crimeÂ... long before the movie ended. It's an enjoyable crime thriller that had made me yearn for more film adaptations of Michael Connelly's books. See more
Finn M Aug 19, 2018 A clever thriller from Clint Eastwood with good twists. I think it is actually one of his better films. Jeff Daniels was terrific as well in a unique role for him. (First and only viewing - 8/12/2018) See more
Poe S Jun 27, 2018 There are some genuinely interesting ideas and twists here, too bad they're drowned in messy, laughable storytelling and the pace of a snail. See more
Luke S Aug 9, 2017 Love this movie. Jeff Daniels is GREAT, an Oscar Winning performance.
Leia W Aug 5, 2017 Not one of my favorites from Clint, but it's always nice to see him up to something. Barred down by slow pacing and an uneven script, Blood Work barely scrapes by. The film is more of a take it or leave it kind, but for me...I'll always be up for Clint touting a gun See more
Harry W May 27, 2017 I thought it was good and was grateful to have watch this 15yearold film.
