Leia P Dec 5, 2018 What a mess. Story, performances, character development all terrible. All the actors seemed to phone it in. Not that they had much to work with. The only character that had any sort of "development" was the supposed boogey-man, Blackway (Ray Liotta). Anthony Hopkins spent the whole movie staring off into space, never a single word of explanation or motivation for his character. Julia Stiles also had only one look during the entire film. They could have taken a single photo of hers and digitally pasted on her face for every scene. A woman is accosted and threatened in a parking lot but manages to get away without being physically hurt. The sheriff does nothing, so she asks for help from some people who have some vague connection with the attacker. She is told by everyone that her best option is to move away. She is helped by two guys (Hopkins and Alexander Ludwig) who go up to a remote area and eventually kill the guy after a brief and ludicrous confrontation. What a waste of talent and of my time. Poe W Oct 7, 2018 Bad. It had promise, but the script was bad and predictable, the acting was bad. Ray Liotta is the only one who turned in a decent performance. Julia Stiles was the worst. I don't know if she's just a bad actor, or she knew the movie was a bomb. Hopkins just said his lines & that's all. Pass this one up. See more

Abraham S Sep 17, 2018 Like many people, I saw that Anthony Hopkins was in this movie so I watched it. I knew that Ray Liotta was going to be the bad guy because he is ALWAYS the bad guy. The movie started off with a bang then slowly died out. I am not big on having to know the ins and outs of the every character but it is important to have some introduction to the central characters. This movie basically decided to skip this step and let the viewer just fill it in as the movie went along. The most ridiculous part was the name "Blackway". If this was one of those movies where people had to do a shot every time they heard Blackway, they would be bombed after 40 minutes. Blackway this and Blackway that. Be careful of Blackway. Lets go find Blackway. Okay I get it, his name is Blackway. After all that, the viewer never knows what the problem with Blackway is other than nobody likes him and he is a bad guy. Great! From there on, there is no deeper parts to the movie. Three people decide they are going to pick a fight with Blackway. They track him down. They kill him, I just saved you 135 minutes that I will never get back. The end. See more

Kylo S Aug 24, 2018 Yeah, it's slow paced, but who can resist the oldies??? For 31 year old woman like me I cannot forget Julia Stiles roles from "10 things I hate about you" to "Save the last dance" and not forgetting her fantastic role in all Bourne movies it's a good performance. You can feel her fear in this movie but a strength not to give up. And lest just say it Antony Hopkins in the mix with all the Hannibal background and in these past years as Thor's father, it's a good story of pain, love, anger and revenge as the movie rolls on. Just don't watch it at night. Good to watch on a rainy day if you are into different types of movies and know what these caracters are capable of. Not a critic, just a movie lover. See more
