Tilting between social satire and pitch-black drama with unnerving ease, Cory Bowles's feature debut Black Cop is an intriguing high-wire act.

Some of the symbolism and satire is a bit clunky or far too on-the-nose, but mostly Black Cop shows us the tragic fall of a man who hits his breaking point and becomes determined to similarly break the community he's sworn to protect.

Acting was good and seemed to match documentary style filmed. I got the plot and then it was a little slow moving then it hits ya. Def uncomfortable at times when slpped in the faec with the double standard.

I see cops as angry people who has been hurt from others. This movie has opened my eyeys as a black women! Blacks are pushed around pulled over for no reason and white people think they shouldn't be profiled.

Fantastic movie that explores the differing opinions on police brutality through the torment of a black police officer caught in the middle. Artistic, gritty and impactful with gripping performances.
