The holiday season turns deadly for a group of sorority sisters (Katie Cassidy, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Lacey Chabert, Michelle Trachtenberg) who are stranded at their campus house during a snowstorm. These coeds better watch out, for a vicious killer is on the loose, and he will not care if they are naughty or nice.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

A gratuitous remake of the 1974 slasher, Black Christmas pumps out the gore and blood with zero creativity, humor, or visual flair.

Glen Morgan's update of Bob Clark's 1974 slasher flick Black Christmas is an exemplar of how to screw up a modern horror film remake. Go to Full Review

This remake has none of the charm or atmosphere of the original. Its frenetic cinematography, shallow characters, and barebones plot make it extremely difficult to engage with or even pay attention to for its full runtime. Go to Full Review

In its attempts to build a franchise and legacy, Black Christmas stabs itself in the eye. Blind from any sort of craft or talent, every piece of the film fails in an overly exploitive and off-putting experience that is impossible to justify watching. Go to Full Review

Hagrid S Feb 13, 2019 This remake is fucking disgusting with it's overuses of blood & gore. The only redeeming quality of this film are all of the hot women in this movie. See more
Poe W Dec 21, 2018 It was not scary but only gross and sadistic
Hermione W Dec 21, 2018 The darkest of dark Christmas films, but somehow still offers enough Christmas spirit.
Leia S Dec 11, 2018 Horrible remake of a solid 70s' slasher film.
Finn P Oct 19, 2018 Just another shitty remake in a world so full of many: unpleasant (but not in a good way), completely devoid of scares and with an awful, unimaginative plot in which no one is smart enough to call the police when things become seriously weird. See more
Abraham S Aug 1, 2018 I Love the movie cuz it got me scard when i was 6 years old
