Slick Will, the mechanic for a legendary motorcycle racer named Smoke (Laurence Fishburne), is struck dead during an off-the-grid race. Following the funeral, and in opposition to his mother's protests, Slick Will's son, Kid (Derek Luke), starts racing in the same fringe circuit -- but, despite Kid's skill and showmanship, Smoke refuses to race him. Spurned by the man he looked up to, Kid starts a rival motorcycle gang called the Biker Boyz, and a showdown between them is inevitable.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Waste of a good cast. For a movie about bike racing, it never gets up to speed.

The dialogue is almost as loud as the exhausts; and the bits of detail aren't enough in a movie that teens may find delivers an unpalatable message -- daddy knows best. Go to Full Review

Hagrid S Feb 1, 2017 It's good movie to watch
Hermione L Jan 25, 2011 Really awful and predictable movie. The soap opera storyline and action of the racing dont gel at all. Add to that some ludicrously unbelievable 'gang' behaviour and you have all the makings of a horrible attempt at converting Fast & The Furious into a bike movie. Dont believe me? The soulful nugget of wisdom meant to carry this story... "Burn rubber, not your soul". Its not meant to be funny but it really is. See more
Harry S Sep 27, 2007 Good cast and cool Bikes with stunts, but, I thought the story was a little flat
