Atmosphere alone can't keep this creaky pseudo-zombie flick from rapidly decaying into confusing, derivative tedium. Go to Full Review

Even by Argento standards, Fulci's film is nonsensical to the point of distraction. Go to Full Review

The effort is sloppy at times, unbelievably goofy as well, but there's something special about this messy presentation of torment and suffering, finding Fulci uniquely motivated to create a bizarre, art-inspired screen nightmare. Go to Full Review

One of the precious few spaghetti Southern gothics, The Beyond is Italian horror maestro Lucio Fulci at his gory, hypnotic best. Go to Full Review

Apr 20, 2019 Still looking for the point of this movie -_-
Finn S Mar 5, 2018 The total lack of suspense, slogging pace, and sub-par acting are executed with just enough competence to rob The Beyond of the campy fun such a film could accidentally deliver. Even Fulci's trademark excessive eyeball gore actually gets boring after awhile. See more
Abraham W Dec 20, 2017 Although it has its moments that seem nonsensical (both dialogue and character actions), "The Beyond" is probably director Lucio Fulci's creepiest film. The story is pretty interesting, the music is eerie, & the gore is... well, gory (particularly, the scenes where it gets gory are pretty creepy such as the spider scene)! I thought "Zombi 2" (aka "Zombie") was okay & "City of the Living Dead" was not too good, but "The Beyond" finally delivered the scares I had been expecting (as well as the gore). I recommend this horror flick, so prepare to be grossed & creeped out! See more
Ron G Aug 12, 2017 It can be amusing for those who love gore and fun special effects, but Fulci must have been completely stoned when he made this ridiculous movie that doesn't make any sense at all (who cares about plot, right?) and is only a bafflingly stupid mess full of awful performances. Draco G Jul 9, 2017 Despite some occasional striking images, and plenty of eye gauging, this is over rated to say the least.
Leia P Jun 6, 2014 I'm just going to state this once: Fuck Carlos Magalhães' retarded self who to say the least, simply doesn't know shit & constantly, if not blatantly goes out of his way to denigrate the great Lucio Fulci. This is a genuine cult-classic. See more
