Ben also talks in his new movie. It's hard to understand what he says, however, because all he does is squeak in various octaves. Go to Full Review

Ben is more successful [than predecessor Willard], due to sticking to a Them-style monster narrative and actually having some rather atmospheric moments of tension, thus being more effective as a horror movie. Go to Full Review

Jan 27, 2019 The best movie song ever sung: the title song!
Albus S Jul 11, 2018 willard was a dumb but creepy movie that i kinda liked for its 70s cheesiness. the sequel, about a kid who finds and befriends the head rat from the previous movie, has to be one of my all time most hated movies ive ever seen. god damn this movie is so bad. when the kid sings these horrible songs man my ears were about to bleed. with the theme song somehow sung by micheal jackson of all people, why on earth would be allow himself to be associated with this terrible piece of trash. an all time low See more
Anakin S Feb 19, 2018 Really odd movie when compared to the superior Willard. Neither creepy nor scary, but still worth a watch if you liked Willard. The last two minutes tugged at me a little bit considering I once had a pet rat that I felt like I neglected. He was highly intelligent. I did get a little chuckle while listening to MJ's pretty song and looking at the blu ray cover and thinking.......this pretty song is about a killer rat that has just helped to kill half a dozen people. Poor old Willard. See more
Poe L Oct 29, 2017 Ben (1972) **1/2 An even weirder sequel to the original. One of the main rats of the first film, Ben, befriends a lonely boy, who like Bruce Davidson's adult social misfit character, Willard, did in the first film, uses his rat friends to take care of his enemies and also to keep the him in good spirits regarding his health condition. Things get difficult for the boy and Ben when the police get involved and try to stop to Ben and his underground colony of rat friends. Directed by journeyman director Phil Karlson ("Walking Tall" "Kansas City Confidential"), Ben is competently made, but the story is just ridiculous, though it is definitely enjoyable on a camp level. The film's memorable theme song sung by Michael Jackson over then end credits is the perfect coda to this weirdo movie. Ben, the two of us need look no more We both found what we were looking for With a friend to call my own I'll never be alone, and you, my friend, will see You've got a friend in me Ben, you're always running here and there You feel you're not wanted anywhere If you ever look behind and don't like what you find There's something you should know, you've got a place to go I used to say I and me, now it's us, now it's we I used to say I and me, now it's us, now it's we Ben most people would turn you away I don't listen to a word they say They don't see you as I do I wish they would try to' I'm sure they'd think again if they had a friend like Ben A friend like Ben And do yourself a favor and watch Crispin Glover's surreal music video cover version he directed for the "Willard" remake/reimagining. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4HmRhnoa38 See more
Harry M May 2, 2017 Pretty lousy, corny and ludicrous follow up to Willard. Doesn't help that the main kid is irritating. Tame effects, bad acting, ridiculous plot. To think, this thing almost had an Oscar for that song by Michael Jackson. lol See more
