Frank Scheck The Hollywood Reporter Jan 3, 2019
It's hard not to get caught up in Rose's fate, especially with Shepherd infusing her portrayal of the spunky character with subtle grace notes. Brolin is equally good, movingly conveying the loneliness and pathos underlying Max's good humor. Go to Full Review
Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times Jan 3, 2019
Unfortunately, the romance zigzags in and out too much to effectively drive the narrative and inform the dying Rose's emotional arc in the way, by all rights, it should have. Go to Full Review
James Croot The Post NZ Dec 5, 2018
2.5/5
Clearly designed as a vehicle for the now 68-year-old former Moonlighting and The Last Picture Show star, Rose's mature drama can't overcome a pile-up of plot contrivances and cliched action. Go to Full Review

Feb 18, 2019 Very moving film! Really gets you thinking about what is important in life. Loved it! Wonderful actors!
Luke P Jan 18, 2019 unique story with older stars which I can relate to. Beautiful New Mexico scenery. Lovely story with real life issues.
Ron S Jan 13, 2019 Lifetime would have said no
Theodore S Jan 9, 2019 I really wanted to like this film for its stellar cast. The dialogue was weak and storyline had too many subplots. I would have been happy with a "Hallmark-ish" love story between Shepherd and Brolin with Grier as the one consummate best friend who keeps all in perspective from a few drags of weed. This film reminds me of the film "Our Souls at Night" with Robert Redford and Jane Fonda. Two acting greats who are in a film about shacking up quick because they are older and are keeping up with modern attitudes. This film was another weak dialogue and many subplots. I was drawn to this film due to New Mexico locations and, of course, the cast. But it was already too silly early on when Shepherd took a road trip in a motorized scooter. She didnt even charge it when she met Brolin at the rest stop! See more
Harry R Jan 5, 2019 Horrible, horrible movie. Possibly the worst movie I've ever seen. Melodramatic; lacking in plot, character development and heart. A complete waste of time. See more
