Hapless young Bill Denny (Farley Granger) and his bride, Kate (Shelley Winters), stumble into big trouble when Bill takes in a cute little dog. The stray happens to be a courier for the mob, and the canine's presence in the Denny home brings underworld violence to the couple's front door. While Bill tries to figure out why dead mobsters are suddenly everywhere, the police are also investigating. Will the pooch's presence lead the police to think that Bill and Kate are criminals?

It provides many hearty laughs, largely due to the garish characters among the cops and robbers. Go to Full Review

Harry M Sep 19, 2018 Farley Granger is a poor man's Cary Grant and Shelley Winters tries her hand at being a good girl (!!!) in this surprising comedy about a clueless couple unwittingly caught between two gangs squabbling over money and the cops who are also clueless and unwitting. Low expectations should be left at the door, it's better than you thought it might be. See more
