The fact that the film has had such a lasting impact,... proves that the film spoke to its audience. Go to Full Review

t's a celebration of bonds that are thicker than blood and demonstrates above all that fame-and-fortune fantasies can blur divisions of race and class as persuasively as they can exaggerate them. Go to Full Review

Formulaic and distastefully fake, Townsend's modern fairy tale unsuccessfuly tries to combine the premise of Pretty Woman with the formats of the fish-out-of-water and culture-collision. Go to Full Review

Oct 15, 2018 It seems the SJW trolls are all over these reviews. As for the "racist clothing" Halle wears, I though these girls were sexy. Walter mathau's character probably didn't want his rich white SJW nephew spending all his money on pot, a master's in philosophy, and lawyers to get out of jail from rioting (I mean protesting) ruining their good name. The plot was short and cute. Two broke girls with big dreams find out what people with too much money blow money on. They make the audience think they are so ghetto that they would take the money and run, but we learn they consider the old man family (which drives SJWs crazy because it challenges their closed mindedness, and it doesn't fit the racist stereotype they are looking for to trigger them). It also ends with a great moral "it doesn't matter who you are, if you are a good person then good things will happen to you" See more
