Once in a while, a movie inspires nothing more than complete apathy. Backseat is such a lackluster work. Go to Full Review
Kimberley Jones Austin Chronicle Apr 11, 2008

Alexander's script considers context anathema, leaving us to wonder, among other puzzlers, why these two jerks are friends to begin with - and, perhaps, on what bad breakup or neglected childhood one may blame the film's dispiriting misanthropy. Go to Full Review
Frank Scheck The Hollywood Reporter Apr 9, 2008

Sean Axmaker Seattle Post-Intelligencer Apr 17, 2008

Backseat satisfies itself with small observations and minor breakthroughs of self-awareness. Go to Full Review
Chad Greene Boxoffice Magazine Apr 4, 2008
