What to Know

Critics Consensus

Clumsily recalling numerous superior movies about unlikely human/robot friendships, A.X.L. is an obsolete adventure made from frequently malfunctioning parts.

After 2016's Monster Trucks laid a giant goose egg at the box office, what made the folks at Global Road think this similarly themed shaggy mechanical pal tale would fare any better? Go to Full Review

Like its titular character, A.X.L is a pastiche of familiar parts constructed in a lab, a blend of science-fiction and extreme sports tropes that result in little more than an audition reel for the film's young stars. Go to Full Review

George R Apr 27, 2019 So very bad. The acting I suppose wasn't horrible but the story line and everything about the plot was idiotic
Apr 27, 2019 It's a great family movie that isn't in the list of family movies. I love the concept and how honesty and pure feelings trumped over the devious. I lived it and would watch it a 2nd time. See more
Apr 17, 2019 Please make a second one
Abraham L Apr 16, 2019 AXL is silly. The story is recycled. Short Circuit meets The Karate Kid. There are just too few good moments.
Ron S Apr 14, 2019 Love the movie! My son's in the Marines and anything with military in it and having a dog beside him helping him like a friend and protecting him, that's awesome I love the movie! See more
Anakin G Apr 6, 2019 Loved it, would watch it again!
