Heir to a real-estate dynasty, David Marks (Ryan Gosling) lives in the shadow of his father, Sanford (Frank Langella). He takes a chance at true love when he meets Katie (Kirsten Dunst), a woman of modest origins who sees David's real worth as a person, not just his family's wealth. David and Katie marry and plan to build a life together, but their once-loving relationship deteriorates after David gives in to his father's demand that he work in the family business.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

It's well-acted, and the true story that inspired it offers plenty of drama -- which is why it's so frustrating that All Good Things is so clichéd and frustratingly ambiguous.

Abraham S Feb 22, 2019 Though it doesn't live up to the documentary telling the same story - it's still a good mystery flick based on a psycho true story. See more
Theodore S Feb 8, 2019 So much better than the recent remake. Loved Ryan goslings acting in this one.
Anakin G Jan 20, 2019 Originally an enjoyable romantic film with a good premise, All Good Things falls apart after becoming an all-out crime film that becomes increasingly less believable. The talent of the actors in it could have been better put to use. See more
Draco S Sep 24, 2018 Splendid Kirsten. Already forgot the plot though.
Hermione W Apr 20, 2018 I enjoyed the performances in this film more than the story. While the story was limited to the events that it was based on, I still had a hard time fully getting into it. Seeing as how the real life events are never fully explained, what that leaves us with is a movie without an ending. For some people, that might make it a waste of time to watch it. See more
Leia R Mar 2, 2018 Well acted but was let down by the script.
