Far too bland to be at all memorable, but it's a harmless growing-up-on-the-beach tale that families can watch together, though it would be more at home on a kids' cable channel than in a theatre.

It was a great movie, and not for the reason you think. I live in the place they filmed this and actually saw one of the scenes in person. I am also a junior lifeguard, making this movie hit just that closer to home. Now if the movie wasn't filmed in the place I know and love, I probably wouldn't have even heard of this. Just the complete relevance and relatibility this movie has on me is just profoundly wholesome.

Heart-warming coming of age movie filmed in Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach. Set in the mid-80's and a great soundtrack.

Beautifully photographed flashback film with an eclectic soundtrack . Though set in mid 1980's Hermosa Beach, there's something in this movie for everyone . It's a little light on plot , but the visuals and emotional memory triggers makes this film a must see #Ageofsummer
