To the Los Angeles elite, Ford Fairlane (Andrew "Dice" Clay) is known as "Mr. Rock 'n' Roll Detective." This loudmouthed ladies' man serves an exclusive rock star clientele, who depend on his keen eye and smug discretion. So when a heavy-metal musician dies mid-concert, Fairlane is on the case before the lights come up. But things turn shocking when radio personality Johnny Crunch (Gilbert Gottfried) hires Fairlane to find a missing groupie mere hours before he is electrocuted live on air.

It’s too bad Clay doesn’t have the inclination or ability to plumb his oppressing-on-the-outside but oppressed-on-the-inside persona. Go to Full Review

Surprisingly funny and expectedly rude, this first starring vehicle by vilified standup comic Andrew Dice Clay has a decidedly lowbrow humor that is a sort of modern equivalent of that of the Three Stooges. Go to Full Review

This expensively empty action comedy is as much fun as a car crash. Go to Full Review

A grotesque, offensive, and unforgivable film. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

As an actor, Dice is sometimes likable — he keeps himself amused. But he’s stuck in this ghastly hybrid that never gets going and finally makes him look foolish. Go to Full Review

...a misguided star vehicle that's aged horribly in the years since its 1990 release. Go to Full Review

Apr 17, 2019 I have no clue why this movie is so poorly rated. One of my favourite movies of all time. Chicks probably hate it especially feminists but thsts about it. All star cast. Great make belueve story. Plenty of little oddball parts and pieces. Lots of action. Plus he get it all in the end in one last little twist. Great movie. See more
Finn P Sep 9, 2018 This movie, at it's time, was SO FAR ahead of it's time. Sooooo many bits have been ripped off in future movie in the 1990s-2000s. The political rightousness movement was hit it's first wind and Andrew was destroyed. Years later, comedy finally caught up. THIS IS SERIOUSLY MY DESERTED ISLAND "YOU CAN ONLY BRING ONE MOVIE WITH YOU" movie! It's Brilliant! Burying it with me in my casket good... See more
Harry G Apr 29, 2018 This film is not for everyone. A lot of people dislike Andrew Dice Clay because they never understood that he is a character. This movie plays up that character, but at the same time it shows that most cases he's making more fun of himself than the people he is supposed to be offending. The movie is campy and the plot is thin. But the characters are great. If you don't take the movie and Dice's character too seriously it is great, shameful fun. If you are offended by it then go to your safe space. See more
Mar 19, 2018 Ahead of it's time and completely goofy, but I love it.
Jan 11, 2018 Politically incorrect, irreverent, and unapologetic.
Leia W Aug 7, 2017 fans of dice clay will love this movie, non fans and most women will hate it
