A man who loves when a plan comes together, Hannibal Smith leads a close-knit team of elite operatives. Framed for a terrible crime, Smith and his men go rogue, using their special talents to clear their names and find the perpetrator. Hot on their trail is Charissa Sosa, who was once involved with a member of Smith's team and has sworn to capture them, no matter what it takes.

Critics Consensus

The A-Team assembles a top-rate cast only to ditch the show's appealingly silly premise for explosive yet muddled blockbuster filmmaking.

Joe Carnahan's movie is loud and vulgar and disorienting, but also an exhilarating kind of fun.

"Overkill is underrated," says team-leader Hannibal Smith (Liam Neeson), ominously, and the next two hours proceed to give overkill its due.

The quick flash that is this movie’s brand of napalm-paced, gun-powdered spectacle, has one agreeing with Hannibal’s assessment that “Overkill is underrated.”

After casting did its job, the project seems to have been turned over to a classroom of fifth-grade boys—although I’d like to think the kids would do a better job of...trying to close up...plot holes....gaping enough to drive a flaming tank through.

Some good acting and wild action is overshadowed by pitiful editing, shoddy camera work, and a mediocre story.

I never saw this movie until the weekend of 4/17/2019. Do not ask me how a movie lover like me missed this gem! I actually watched it 3 times this weekend & saw something new each time! The third time, I watched it with my 88 year old Dad and I he liked it too! I loved the A Team cast; their chemistry on screen is so fun & off the hook! From ï¿ 1/2~You gotta have a plan kid!" to flying a helicopter upside down, to "I'm gonna kill you fool." to the yummy blue eyed one swearing in Spanish and rolling down a hill! I loved the story, lots of action, plots, plots behind the plot storiesï¿ 1/2.SEE IT!

This is not the best action movie of the year. But it is certainly entertaining. With a charismatic lead from Liam Neeson, along with a dumb plot and above-average action, THE A-TEAM serves just enough thrills to become a source of popcorn fun. If you're looking for a movie you can rent to be entertained and forget in a week or so, this is it.
