What to Know

Critics Consensus

6 Days effectively unravels its fact-based tale in the form of a taut -- albeit unambitious -- thriller that captures its era with a minimum of flair.

Bell is terrific - a combination of cocky swagger and perfect focus ... Go to Full Review

There is a payoff here, even if the film does come across like an oddly nostalgic ode to the hard-line stance of Britain's 'Iron Lady', Margaret Thatcher. Go to Full Review

If not entirely compelling, 6 Days gives us a little to chew on from several different perspectives of these well-known events. Go to Full Review

It's a shame that the story is rather bogged down by a sagging script and only basic character sketches. Go to Full Review

Hagrid S Mar 9, 2019 Very smart movie. It gave a realistic view of the âhurry up and waitâ? ebb and flow of tactical situations. End was dynamic without being gratuitous. See more
Ron M Nov 9, 2018 Dull but watchable. Only at the very end - the last 15 minutes - does it finally pick up, like real life. I felt as if I were a fireman called to duty 'at last' and only then, applied what I'd learned and went home with a hi-ho, smile. See more
George P Sep 1, 2018 Loved the film. Powerful, gripping, even the SAS don't want you to watch it!! I can understand how hard it could be to breathe though the mask...I was taking every breath with them. Loved it. As an ex-military person and Police officer I can totally relate to the film. Firstly I would like to praise the courage of the SAS operatives that took part, not only ****** but all the other professionals at the coal face, working tirelessly to produce a product our daggered friends can utilise. I do like how this film shows the behind the scenes working, if only briefly. It's still a "tip of the hat" to the profession which is always appreciated and under stated. I can't say how PROUD I am of our armed forces, I truly am. They are massively misunderstood and cast aside, even after our "modern" conflicts in Afghanistan. Yet again the government has cut the bonus' the troops get for a deployment even though they still risk their lives. Can you imagine that kind of change in the public sector? NO! As Soldiers, Sailors and Airman we pledge our allegiance to the crown, in the small print we give up our apparent right to anything. WE give our lives to defend 'You' the public and RELEY on YOU to defend us at home, by utilising your voice and powers, our brother and sisters have paid for in blood. Most importantly! The attitude the governing party has, towards our current serving personnel is appalling. I do believe however, that our current secretary state for defence, G Williamson is showing some gusto, pride, passion and panache in defending UK interests. Unfortunately Defense is an ugly word during times of repression, but we must be stronger than before, even during our weakest moments. See more
George L Aug 23, 2018 Based on a true story. Told like a reenactment with none of the movie-making hollywoodification. Not boring though, a hostage situation puts the ticking time bomb scenario, moving things along at fast pace and mark strong plays the emotional core of the movie. The marketing is a bit wrong though - this is not an action movie, more like a suspenseful thriller. Watch it if you're into historical event based films. See more
Hermione S Aug 11, 2018 Decent film, very action-packed however any storyline and plot should be taken with a grain of salt as we once again see a film infested with western propaganda against Iran filled with innaccuracies See more
Hermione R Jul 29, 2018 Good. Appeared realistic.
