Facing death while trudging through a frozen wilderness turns out to be remarkably unexciting in this fact-based drama.

Stylistically, it's strictly made-for-TV trauma-drama stuff, but it's hard not to admire Hartnett's tenacity in what was surely a physically challenging role and wonder why he hasn't had a better career arc.

It manages to hit the appropriate beats of this snowbound survival tale (digs ice shelters, scares off wolves, drinks meltwater) while also being incredibly dull.

The elephant in the room with 6 Below: Miracle on the Mountain is that it is a cheaply made, religious anti-drug movie masquerading as a standard Hollywood film.

hat sounds like a stirring story of resilience turns out to be a rather plodding movie, which falls back on clichd flashbacks to augment Hartnett's solo privations.

Casting is terrible. Mira Sorvino plays Josh Hartnetts characters mum. Problem is Mira is 51 and Josh is 40!!

The movie drags and I found myself just waiting for the inevitable end to come.

Truly dreadful. How to take a human endurance story and turn it into a banal, unlikable tale is beyond me. Mira Sorvino is particularly poor, given the flashback padding and hand-holding for the decision making aspects of the film, I put this down to directional failures, rather than her acting abilities. Finally, I know Americans are constantly searching for something, but adding miracle to every story involving some level of endeavour doesn't make it so.

For A True Story, It's Unbelievable In That It Actually Occurred, Very Close To Never Coming Back..So That Part IS Amazing. It Possibly Would Have Fared Better In The Tension-Build Department If It Had Narration In Parts, Maybe Even From The Survivor Himself..As All We Are Left With Is Josh Harnett Trying His Best To Act Terrified, Which In The Hands Of A More Skilled Performer Would Have Probably Been Better. The Soundtrack Doesn't Do Much Either, So It Flounders Along With Lots Of Silent Brooding.

Not a very appealing character. Many unbelievable moments. Almost wanted to root for the wolves.
