Critics Consensus

Gross-out humor overwhelms the easy chemistry between Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, who bring some energy and yucks to this tale of a girl with short-term memory loss and the guy who tries to get her to love him.

A winning hand is repeatedly set down in order to make more room for the aforementioned sort of juvenile antics that will remind Sandler bashers why they hate him in the first place.

50 First Dates is a very much a product of its time, and not in a way that holds up particularly well today.

"50 First Dates" é um filme medíocre. A história não é muito interessante e muitas cenas não foram bem produzidas. Adam Sandler e Drew Barrymor revelaram-se más escolhas para este tipo de filme.

Moderately entertaining and well acted, for the most part. Sweet, but flawed

I love this film. It is funny with romatic scence. I would like to give 5 starts but I have still to rate films like Tatanic. So for this film, it is 4 stars now.

Very slightly more effective than most Sandler comedies thanks to humorous turns by Sean Astin and Drew Barrymore. Still shitty and nonsensical though, especially the bit where she begins remembering him, despite the repeated statement of its scientific impossibility. Sandler superpower watch: Talks to animals Sandler sexism watch: This schlub somehow beds many tourists under false pretenses and tricks Sandler racism watch: Rob Schneider as a stereotypical Hawaiian Sandler vacation watch: I think in this case Hawaii's tourism board actually paid him, which makes it slightly less bad.
