Though it gains traction toward the end, viewers may finally feel puzzled or indifferent. You expect a bit more from the end of the world.

Rehashing old arguments in the hours before certain death is a tedious waste of time - theirs, and ours.

Watching the excessively craggy Dafoe and the excessively nubile Leigh roll around on their pre-Apocalyptic mattress was certainly good for a giggle.

Ferrara doesn’t hide from death in his films—quite the opposite, clearly. Yet you also can’t say that his work feels hopeless, nor pessimistic.

Written and directed by Abel Ferrara starring William Dafoe as Cisco preparing for the 'last days on earth' with his living spouse, Skye (Shanyn Leigh).

Two lovers (Willem Dafoe, Shanyn Leigh) immerse themselves in sex, art and other activities after word breaks that the world will end by the next morning. Not a very engaging movie. Most of the characters are not doing anything worth watching.

A uniquely personal apocalypse flick. Defoe is great, co-star is so-so. Couple interesting scenarios, but never truly engaging or worthwhile. Ending is a bust. Not even a rental.

This is Ferrara's last-day flick. It was good, great to a degree. Ferrara-holics will dig it
